If you’re experiencing issues pairing your room sensor, first make sure your ecobee is on the newest firmware and that your room sensor battery isn’t too low—if you’re uncertain, try replacing the battery just to be safe.
Once you’ve confirmed this, try following the steps below.
1) Remove the battery from the room sensor
2) Power-cycle the ecobee by removing it from the wall and leaving it off for about two minutes
3) After two minutes, place the ecobee back on the wall and wait for it to finish powering up
4) Re-insert the battery into your room sensor and hold it close to your ecobee
You should see a prompt to pair your room sensor on the screen of your ecobee. If no prompt appears, please contact our Support team for further assistance.
