What's the difference between a Comfort Setting and an activity/period?

Comfort Setting is a predefined heat/cool setting that can be applied to a specific period of a day. You can define comfort settings to represent activities (such as Sleep, Home, Away, Gym) or events (such as Party or Play Date).

When you add an activity to a day of the week, you can select the Comfort Setting that the activity should use for its duration. If on Monday you are away from 8am to 6pm, you can use the Comfort Setting “Away” to define the heat/cool settings to use during this scheduled period.

New custom Comfort Settings can be added only through the web portal, but can be used on the mobile app and the thermostat while modifying schedule. To modify your Comfort Settings, select Menu > Comfort Settings.
