Alexa is saying, “Discovery is complete. I couldn’t find any devices.” (ecobee4)

If Alexa is having trouble discovering your ecobee4 when you’re setting up, there are a couple things you can do to fix the problem:

 1. Make sure your ecobee4 is connected to your wi-fi network. To check your ecobee4’s wi-fi connection select MENU > SETTINGS > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Enabled > Network. Then select your network and enter your password is needed.

 2. Log in to your ecobee mobile app and ensure that your thermostat can be controlled through the mobile app.
