My HomeIQ Reports Aren't Generating

The HomeIQ data is available 7 days after the end of the previous calendar month (assuming your thermostat was wifi connected). If your thermostat was offline for a significant portion of that month, Home Iq Insights may not have enough data to render a report. Should this happen, please review to ensure your wireless signal is stable and there are no impediments affecting the wifi connectivity with the thermostat.

In order for HomeIQ reports to generate, your "Location Data" and "Property Characteristics" must be entered in the web portal under the "Settings" menu. It is also important to note that if your thermostat is registered anytime after 12:00am on the 1st of the month, a report will not be generated for that month. A report will instead be generated the following month. For example, if your ecobee was registered on January 1st at 10:00am, you will not receive a January report. You would instead receive a report for February within the first week of March.

The HomeIQ reports are automatically generated by our efficiency system (through community comparison, collected weather data, runtime etc.). This system also has the logic to detect inaccurate data. If you look at some of the data last month, even though it's a little colder outside - the heat is not on, whereas on other days with similar outdoor temperatures - the heat is running in the home. This will be regarded as inaccurate data for the month and our system will not generate a report for this month rather than provide false efficiency ratings. We understand this is not relayed when you look at your monthly reports and it says it's being worked on.
