When an ecobee thermostat is registered, its property address is set up. Often, the location information is automatically detected based on the IP address. It may need to be updated later to improve the weather forecast, for rebate applications, or if you brought it with you in a move.
How to Change the Property Address
To update the property address associated with your ecobee account you will need to log into you web portal account at ecobee.com.
Once logged in, select the "Settings" tile. then select "Location" from the options listed on the left of the screen.
Select "Location" from the options listed on the left of the screen. In the address fields, make all necessary changes then select "Save" before exiting.
