My live feed is only showing a spinning circle and grey screen. How can I troubleshoot?

To successfully troubleshoot this issue you will need to have physical access to the ecobee SmartCamera with voice control.

If your live feed is displaying a grey screen, follow these steps:

  1. Check your phone’s connection to the internet. Whether you are connected to WiFi or using mobile data, your connection will impact the ability to load the stream
  2. Restart the app
  3. Unplug and plug your camera back in.
  4. Check the voice-assistant LED indicators on the front of your camera. For more information on LED indicator colour codes, please click here.
